Even though your faithful blogmaster...
(that's me) will be running the show this year, I won't always be watching the Disney movies on my own. So I'm going to briefly introduce you to the others who might be adding comments and reactions to the blog throughout the year. If you'd like to read about who I am, click here.

"HAKU"
Taking inspiration from that magnificent Miyazaki film "Spirited Away" as his avatar, Haku has previously studied computer animation and is a big fan of the artform.
He has visited Disneyland in California and Paris.
His favourite Disney films are The Emperor's New Groove and Wreck-It Ralph.
"MALEFICENT"
"WENDY"
Wendy grew up with a passion for musicals and Disney films, so much so that she believes it is completely normal and rational to suddenly break out into song during everyday life.
Her favourite Disney movies are The Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast.
When she grows up, she wants to be Mary Poppins... On stage, or in real life, either is good. (She's 25)
"SHENZI"
Merryweather believes that Disney's magic speaks to people of all ages, and with each passing decade, audiences can appreciate new things about their beloved movies.
"MALEFICENT"
Despite the appearances of this avatar, Maleficent is actually a guy. He just really loves the nasty, evil baddy from Sleeping Beauty and thought he'd probably make a better Maleficent than Angelina Jolie.
He has visited Disneyland Paris twice, both times in the winter. (He says this is a great time to visit, since the crowds are really low and the park is empty!)
He is also a massive fan of Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli films.
His favourite Disney films are Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and The Sword In The Stone.

"SHENZI"
Taking her inspiration from the Whoopi Goldberg voiced character from The Lion King, Shenzi is another Disney fan who will be giving a voice to the Year of Disney Project.
In 2012 she visited Walt Disney World, her first experience of Disney parks, and it opened her eyes up to "A Whole New World." (Sorry...)
"PASCAL"
Another cross-dressing contributor, Pascal is actually female in real life.
Her favourite Disney films are (not surprisingly) Tangled, as well as the all-time classic Mary Poppins.
She is clocking up her "visited-every-Disney-theme-park" passport, having visited Disneyland THREE times, Walt Disney World once, and she will be visiting both Paris and Hong Kong parks later this year!

"ANNA"
This person is obviously a big fan of Disney's latest animated feature Frozen, and she's not alone! Out of the five Disney theme parks around the world, Anna has visited four of them. (Only Orlando awaits!) She's looking forward to a Disney-ful year as she begins moving into her first house in 2014!

Her favourite Disneys are Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, and she has a soft spot for Bedknobs and Broomsticks as well.
"MERRYWEATHER"
This Disney fan loves watching animated adaptations of the Grimm fairy tales. In her travels she has visited the German castle Neuschwanstein (which the Disneyland castle is based on) in both summer and winter. She speaks fluent German, and was lucky enough to be in Berlin to see Disney's Der Glöckner Von Notre Dame (ie. The Hunchback of Notre Dame) while it was playing on stage in 2001.Merryweather believes that Disney's magic speaks to people of all ages, and with each passing decade, audiences can appreciate new things about their beloved movies.
"MUSHU"
Mushu has enjoyed Disney films throughout his life, but he's enjoyed rediscovering them with his kids over the course of their childhood.
He's never been to a Disney park before, but that is going to change in early 2015, so he is excited to see what all the fuss is about!
"MERIDA"
This contributor chose Merida as her avatar, because she is the Disney character who most resembles her! She spent her entire childhood watching Disney films, and still gets excited when a new one is released.
She encountered Disneyland in 1997, and she's been dying to get back ever since!
"BELLE"
Belle is actually one of my nieces! She is 12 years old and has been watching Disney movies her whole life. She has a soft spot for Belle, and has recently been working on styling her hair to look just like her!
She loves all of the Disney princesses, and can sing the entire soundtrack to "Frozen."

"NALA"
Another one of my nieces! Nala is 10 years old.
"JOHN DARLING"
This funny character is actually my nephew. He is 8 years old.
"MICHAEL DARLING"
You can't have John without Michael! This is my other nephew, who is currently 6 years old. My nieces and nephews were so excited about their uncle creating a blog about Disney movies, they all knew that they'd have to be a part of it!
"MARY POPPINS"
"MARY POPPINS"
This "practically perfect" contributor is my mother! She has been watching movies by Disney longer than anyone else on this blog, and can offer some insight on what things were like "back in the day."
